For your control application fuzzy logic won't gain you much. I doubt you'd need more than a proportional / integral loop. Your biggest problem will be the response of the system if it's slow.
 
Looking more at the Rabbit controller, I just have to ask what you're using this for. It seems like complete overkill for a simple heater controller. Just curious.
 
Thnx for the reply guys. PWM modulation was just part of the project I'm working on (e.coli prototype development).
Since for the bacteria to be sampled, it has to incubate 4hrs at set temp of 44.50° and should not fluctuate at all.
I have feedback rtd [temp] sensor in conjunction with HS comparator going to a/d converter on rabbit.
As off now I have working temp. program to turn heater on/off when certain temp is reached. But, temp swing is too big and I need PWM to keep it constant.
Heater is powered from rectified 120AC. I control power mosfet with opt-isolator, which is driven by rabbit. Therefore main AC is isolated from the micro.
