Help with my Dell 2407wfp

Well basically i went to turn the monitor off and then when i went to use it later, and tried to turn it back on, the button was just not working and turning the monitor on. It looked bent now and looks like a spring or whatever it uses behind to turn the power on. Is there anything i can do such as how do i open the screen to gain access to the button and try and sort it or is that even safe etc?
 
erm not sure, jus going on dell website now to check if it is, hope it is
 
it is asking for a service tag on the dell website but i cant find that on my monitor? All i can find is a long serial number type but that is too long to be a service tag, any ideas?
 
Monitors when sold seperately don't have a service tag. Just give them a call.
 
I gave dell a call and the women asked for my serial number which i gave but she said she cant find any details on it? She then asked for the order number but i bought this off a dell reseller on ebay 2 years ago so that would be quite hard to trace back, how come she can't find this product via the serial number if that is what it says on the back of the monitor? I am now stuck, any ideas anyone?
