Hey guys , I have a new mb and Im new to using SSD. I booted my Windows 8 disk but
for some reason it wont install the OS onto the 128gb SSD. It said I needed to change option in motherboard.
Any idea what might need to be done?

This is a Kingston 128gb SSD w/ Asrock Extreme9 and AMD FX-8350

Change the mode in BIOS from IDE to AHCI
edit, noticed amd cpu I have intel cpu should be the same though.
Edit2 forgive my amd ignorance use the northbridge or main chipset sata port for boot drive do not use add on sata port controler for boot drive

Im going to look at book and find the proper sata controller , they are all in line on right side of mb and same color

Ok got further now !!! , I thought it was plugged into first sata chipset but it was actually the top esata port. My primary drive was plugged into marvel sata controller 1.
I changed it out and now I can install Win8 to the drive.

Thanks for your help.
