Hery all,

a week ago or so i recall reading in a thread something about having say a folder - but that folder is actually spanned across multiple drives?

not a raid 0 array.

but i have folder A , i click on folder A and it open, what i dont see is that the data in folder is is really on 2 seperate drives?

Is this possible in windows? or only a linux thing?

if possible how can one do it, and how reliable is it?

i dont really wnat to have multiple folders

Folder A - goes to a 200g drive
Folder B goes to a 120 G

i just want folder A to show contents of both drives......

You mean a jbod (just a bunch of disk) raid, sometime called a spanned volume?
It is as reliable as the least reliable disk in the set. It's fine unless one goes out, then it's over.

ahhh,

yeah jbod i think it was.

i was hoping it was something that wouldnt really split files onto 2 seperate drives like i could decided what goes onto what drive or something :(

thanks for the info.

but that DFS stuff looks interesting :D
