Typically ram tweaking isn't worth the hassle because returns are marginal at best, unless benchmarking. Save your nervous system from stress.
Gains can be larger than overclocking the CPU but without the extra heat.
The performance gains from higher RAM speed stack with the CPU OC so that it can become more noticeable with the two together.

Here they tweak the sub timings on a 3600c14 kit which improves CPU performance up to ~10% for 9900K and ~24% for 3950X

Yeah most games are fairly GPU limited so increases to CPU\RAM speed are not very noticeable a lot of the time.

Running HCI memtest over night is usually enough to be sure the system is stable but tweaking RAM can be a slow process with so many settings to test which is not for everyone.

Running GSAT from a linux USB boot for peliminary testing before loading into windows is a good way to reduce the chance of corrupting the OS

But it seems to focuses on RAM stability not the memory controller so if that is what is holding you back it can still be fairly unstable and need further testing within windows with HCI or something like that which heavily tests the memory controller.
