help setting up wirless network

Okay I'm a complete noob when it comes to wireless. My gf's mom just got a dell laptop with a built in wireless card. But I'm having trouble connecting it to their wireless network. The router is a linksys wireless B befw11s4. When I try to connect to the network it ask for a network (wep) key. I don't know what this is and when I try to get into the router config to find it out on the other computer It asks for a username and password which I do not know. They said they never set one so is there a default username pass or something for the router config menu?
 
There should be a factory reset on the router itself. Check Linksys websight for your model.

There is.

But find the model # and look at the manual.

Usually the default user is just left blank, and the password is "admin".
