I remote in to my home pc from work however I have a new pc built and it seems to be hard freezing randomly while I am remoted to the workstation. I have tocold remote my pc to get it working again. PC does not freeze any other time accept randomly while I am remoted in via xp remote desktop. Anyone seen this before. I have all patches installed.

I'd make sure drivers are all correct...latest chipset drivers first..then latest video, NIC, sound, etc.

All windows updates

Is PC behind a router? Software firewall?

You say "PC built"...meaning, is this a cloner? New components? Memory that compatible, tested for and approved, to work with the motherboard?

I would post this in the OS forum. I don't think that searching your motherboard manufacturer's website for specific ram compatibility is going to fix a software problem.

If it were me, I would check your NIC drivers, possibly reinstall networking on the computer.

Are you running any 3rd party firewall or anything that would be interacting with an incoming tcpip/rdp session?
