NOTE #1: $$$ - Going for the minimalistic approach, but not shoddy products that are only temp solutions, just aiming for a circa $15 range for a complete solution, don't need to be concerned with overclocking or dropping the temperature considerably (SEE: OFFTOPIC: Heat Generation -as it might change this part), just an adequate cooling solution to get me back up and running. Something that I won't feel I wasted money on should I want a higher quality/more advanced cooling solution later would be nice, but not necessary. On the same note, if I can see that's its solely the fan as the issue, then switching it out for the exact same thing would work well too, then I can use all this invested time and research into a complete solution a some weeks into the future.

    *EDIT #1: Can't believe I missed this:
Quieter the better. The cooler the air flow outside the case the better, still around price range though ($15).

NOTE #2: Forums - I have a couple threads up at other sites, now wanting to take what I've learned there and keep you guys free to chew it all up and spit back something using your particular expertise. It may be wholly unscrupulous to have several threads on the same thing running across different forum sites, but I've written them in such a thorough manner I doubt anyone (unless some mysterious forum rule I've never seen in my history of using e-forums) could take much offense to. I suppose it makes the most sense to link the collection here to keep this post shorter (and its easier on me) as well as so the reader may, should interested, track the issue and action taken thus far back to its origin, however I will be more then willing to re-write out any questions one may have here just the same.

    RESEARCH:
Other forums: [My posts, unless quoting thread specific posts from other members, are duplicates across forums, I'll post all three just for the sake of being thorugh, obviously different forums will have different user comments and these are not duplicated across sites]

    [H] Specific:
    1. Gone through: [H]ard|Forum > [H]ard|Ware > Overclocking & Cooling > "GUIDE: Air-cooling for CPUs, GPUs, and just about everyone of you" -orig. post.
    2. Searched through misc threads in cooling Overclocking & Cooling, etc.

    WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
People that know and work with this stuff on an intimate level to run through my HSU solution write up and provide any advice needed. I figure I know what I need to at this point and have it handled but I knew of this site from long back I figured one more write-up couldn't hurt. I want to leave the reader to make the suggestions and not lock into an idea from me mentioning something.

HSU Or HSF Replacement: At this point I'm nost sure if I can/should just switch out the fan, I'm wondering about whether or not I could get something that would create less heat escaping the machine as well as a quieter solution, though this came about and I didn't plan it, may as well get something I like over just a fix, unless I can fix it by simply replacing the current fan for a couple bucks, then I could redo the HSU a few weeks later -I'm going about this research with both options in mind, I figure I need this ASAP, after which I can spend more time looking into it should I go for the cheapest/quickest solution now.

    Q's For Fan Replacement:
    1. How do I know if its the fan and not the heatsink as well?
    2. Can't I just switch out the fan for a replacement of the same?
    3. Dust accumulation in the veins/slits of the heatsink -could this cause the 90C temps inside of 10 minutes?
    4. Whatever it appears I don't know, posting in regards to would be appreciated.

Q's For Complete HSU (HS+Fan) Replacement:
    1. Would I need to remove the MOBO itself to replace/apply a new HS?
    2. What kind of time range am I looking at ahead of me to read up on proper thermal compound application and HSU setting/mounting being a complete HW novice? Tools required? Time start to finish in actually doing it?
    3. Whatever it appears I don't know, posting in regards to would be appreciated.

    OFFTOPIC:
Heat Generation: On a bit of a side note, do superior cooling units allow for less heat to be leaving the chasis itself? The system is still generating the same amount of heat, but the cooling system's quality is measured in how well it whisks it away so as to not allow the heat to builup right? So does the air leaving the case itself remain the same temperatures as otherwise -IOW does the air around the rig still get as hot (concerning air-cooling). Somehow I feel this answer is blatantly obvious and I'm just missing it.

A bit erratic yes but I think it works laid out like this, just PM/reply if you think I need to parse some of the other site info, otherwise I was aiming for low length/character count.

Well I think I protected myself from any preventable flaming should there be any reason to. Again the multiple forum thing I had to debate a bit, but in the end I'm damn glad I did as the average follow-up of mine took 1-2+ hrs to write, and solely doing that for one forum (as you can see ended up a mix bag of multiple replies from multiple users, to a few from a single user) was far to high a gamble.

    *EDIT #2: Current Fan Specs:
    Measured: 60x60x10mm
    [Fan Top Sticker Reads]:
    Top Motor
    DF1206BH
    (DC1206BM-L/610-P-CU) DC12V 0.3A
    DYNAEON INDUSTRIAL CO.LTD.

/Thanks a lot, please forgive all the side notes, trying to ellicit just the type of responses I'm looking for.

    peace,

Yeah I've been referred to this one, looks and reads like its a killer HS but I really don't want to spend $30+ on just the HS.

NewEgg & ResellerRatings not giving me much if any info in way of reviews.
/Thanks though, the ACCL has been mentioned before too, but I'm a bit weary of the reviews.

Newegg reviews, right? A lot of them are really terrible. Arctic Cooling makes a good product.
