Is there a piece of software or hardware that would allow you to monitor 300+ PC's on an AD network in terms of bandwidth usage?

He was concerned with the speeds he was able to get with his bonded T1's being far below the 3Mb/s speed he should be able to achieve. When he disconects his network from the IAD ( Adtran device) and hooks up a laptop directly to it, he is able to max out the 3Mb/s connection.

You should be able to look on your firewall to see which IPs are consuming bandwidth. You'd haved to look around but their are also various utilities you can install on a server and set up a switch port for promiscuous mode to forward all traffic to it for analyzation.

What are you running for a firewall and/or router? If it's supported you can turn on Netflow and collect information from that. You could also put in Untangle or something and get reports on bandwidth that way.

IIRC, his main firewall is a Sonicwall device. I can find out specifics.
