cats nuked my lcd monitor and now i have blotches of black spaces on it any idea how i can correct this. or should i just toss it out when i get my tax return in a month.

Yeah, go ahead and get a new one. Water and electronics pose a fire hazard, no matter how well the equipment seems to work.

1920x1200 screens are very hard to find new nowadays, and the ones that do exist are very expensive because of the scarcity. your best bet will be to look for one used, or else just settle for 1920x1080. melons link is a good deal on a good monitor.

The products should keep the pets away from certain areas in your house.

The bottom one is cheaper. It has a motion sensor and sprays a non toxic (harmless) spray at your cats when they come close..
