Help Hp debranded w2408h!

I got this used monitor, Famous Maker TS24W8H. i have some question about inputs and modes:

1. I want to connect my xbox 360 and Pc (radeon 5570 with vga, dvi and DP), the monitor only have Hdmi and vga inputs. So which of this option give me the best quality for both....
* Connect my xbox with hdmi and my pc with vga.
* Connect my xbox with vga ( from microsoft) and my pc with dvi to hdmi (the cable was cheap, would affect PQ?)
* Or use the hdmi switch i have: i want to know if this switch would affect my PQ?

2. The monitor have some issue with the quick view game mode, black looks like grainy white, all over the screen, see picture

3. Also, some times the screen start flashing in some background colors, but isn't to noticeable.

4. Some calibration help! best color mode? quickview mode? help with settings? i dont own any calibrator, so just osd......

VGA will be enough for the Xbox as long as the cable is from Microsoft and not a off brand since you'll get a lot of ghosting. DVI/HDMI will have the same PQ no matter what you use.
