So im going to move into a dorm soon and I have been talking to my roommates about what to bring and such. As for games, someone is bringing their Xbox 360, and another is getting an N64 ;) . Im bringing my 2.1 speakers and monitor for the games.
For the 360, im trying to get it to connect with HDMI.
N64 has composite cables.
Speakers has the standard AUX speaker plug.
The monitor has VGA and DVI.

Im having trouble finding multi output switchers and such that would make this work. I know ill need converters and such, but can somebody help me get this all work, exclude the length of the wires and such? I also want the speakers to plug into my laptop too, if thats possible.

Plug all the audios into a switch like this for example: Link

Then plug the switch into your line-in on your motherboard (or laptop if it does have one) with this: Link

If you want to connect straight to your speakers get a female end version or rather I would grab an adapter: Link

Ah I forgot about the composite video. I was too focus on the audio heh.

But yea the overall cost to convert composite to digital is very costly. I was on the same road myself OP.

In the end I just settle with buying a LCD TV that had all the analog and digital inputs.
