Help deciding on new TV!

Hi everyone, I'm torn between the OLED 4k LG 55 in 55EF9500 versus the LED 4k Samsung 65" UN65JS8500FXZA. Primary purpose is gaming and movies. Please discuss! And curved or flat? Thanks! All constructive comments helpful!

Room size? A 55 inch can feel downright small compared to a 65.

Room isn't terribly large. I'll be about 10 feet from it. It sits on a tv stand in the corner of the room. I'll post a picture, shortly. I have a 42" one there now.

What about burn in and jittering and input lag i hear about when gaming?

Input lag is pretty bad on the LG OLED's, I think over 40ms.

If you really want 4K then the number one question to ask .. does it have HDCP 2.2 as this is like a handshake between TV > Roku 4 >(up coming 4K Blu-Ray players)> 7.1 Home surround system all have to have HDCP 2.2 on the HDMI 2.0 or the handshake is broken and it will not work.

Corner setups with a couch at a 45 degree angle are about as bad as you can get for proper surround sound. Have you thought about rearranging that room so the seating area is lined up with the soundstage? And your left and right speakers are too close...

Just bring this up because sound is super important to the viewing experience and you are far more likely to notice and increase in sound staging compared to switching to 4K.

Yes. I just got a 65EF9500 last week to replace a very good Panasonic Plasma and it's fantastic. Expensive but amazing.
