help! CD-RW problem

Whenever I try to start my disk copier software it tells me that it cannot read a supported CD-ROM, and then it says that creatorAPI cannot read all CD-ROMs in the system.

Both of my drives work for playing music cd-roms, and pc cd-roms, but I can't burn any copies.

Anyone have a clue as to what might be the problem?
 
besure that you have the updated drivers, and that your software suports the drives

my drivers are updated... The software has worked for me in the past, it is the stock CD burning software that came with the PC. I don't think I have a disk for it. Still not working. Any other ideas?
 
I actually did have the disk, and I reinstalled the software and that did not help...
