I've scoured the internet and the asus forums.

I've tried the Microsoft Fix for large hard drives not waking up properly. Here

When putting the computer to sleep and waiting a few minutes, I press a key and it wakes up instantly but it just freezes, When looking at the programs in the start menu all the icons flash as if its looking for the folder. Windows Explorer will not load and about 3 - 4 mins later the computer just restarts

I've also re-formatted the computer 2 - 3 times with the same result.

Here are the specs
ASUS P7P55D-E Pro
Intel Core i5 750
Corsair XMS3 4GB PC3-12800
XFX ATI Radeon 5770 1GB
Western Digital 1TB SATA III
Corsair 650TX PSU
Lite-on Blu-ray
LG Electronics 24x SATA DVD+/-RW
Cooler Master SGC-2000
Windows 7 Professional x64

Are you loading the newest Intel Chipset, after your reformatt?.

have you tried updating your BIOS to the latest version? I ran into this problem with a Asus 1366 motherboard when working on someone's computer at work. A simple BIOS update to the latest version fixed it even though it was not mentioned in the BIOS update notes.

Went on Intels site and updated everything that I could.

Ran the Asus Bios updater once Windows was installed.
