hi, i have just bought a 4k monitor and the only game i really play is hearthstone but my current gpu (i6700k 530gpu) seems to struggle on high where as it was fine on 1080p before, im wondering if i upgrade to a 1050gtx will i be able to run hearthstone at 4k/60fps on high? thanks.

Might be asking an awful lot of the 530, and I'm not sure a 1050 is gonna solve your issues @ 4K (the 1050 is intended as a 1080p card).

Need to ask some other players what they are using. My own feeling is that 1) you'll need 8GB of video ram, and 2) @ 4K, a 1060 with 6GB is marginal (memory and performance wise), and a 1070 might be what you need.

All IMHO.

No one really benchmarks Hearthstone either, so it’s going to be hard to know.

If you play casual-only, 4GB is plenty. Even the most complex effect buffers use under 1GB ram at 4k (and casual games will use around 500mb). that leaves plenty of room for textures, with room to grow.

1050 Ti should be more than enough. It can handle dota2 reborn maxed 4k , which is actually a somewhat demanding casual game

Guess I'm too used to AAA games. If the consensus is that a 1050 will do it, well, best 'O luck to ya.

In 2014 I got a 4k60 monitor for my R9 290. I still use it for games! 1050 will be fine as long as it isn't super demanding.
