I'm personally picking up one of the first 2.

Not sure, currently I use optical out on my motherboard to this Astro Mixamp Pro but the quality is pretty shit since it wasn't made to support 250ohm headphones. I just need to use my Beyerdynamic DT880s at a loud volume.

I'd go with the 2nd link then. Optical out from the MB bypasses the MB DAC and uses the amp's. You'll be set.
