HDMI audio out of my lappy...

Hey all,

I have a nice shiney new Cleveo laptop with a Radeon Mobility 5870 1GB DDR5 video card in it. It has an HDMI output on the back of the lappy that plugs right into either my TV or my receiver. I can get a picture (albeit smaller than my screen size, not sure why yet). But I get NO sound. None, nada, nothing. I check the sound options and it says my ATI HDMI is not connected to anything. I have dug and dug but found nothing that seems to "connect" that port to anything. Any ideas?

15.6" 1920x1080 LCD

Did you check sound options AFTER plugging the HDMI in?

Ya, that's how I figured out it wasn't working.

try disabling your laptop speakers. Worked for my old laptop.
