Haven't done this in awhile... New build. Is this good? Can I do better?

Been awhile since I've done a new build, currently using LGA 775. Was looking at the following... First, wondering if they're all compatible. Second, can I do better for the price (under $550).

ASUS PRIME Z370-P II LGA 1151 (300 Series) https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813119164&ignorebbr=1
Intel Core i7-8700K Coffee Lake 6-Core 3.7 GHz (4.7 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 95W BX80684I78700K https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117827&ignorebbr=1
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB (1 x 8G) DDR4 2400 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAET889G6004&ignorebbr=1

My power supply is good as is my graphics card, for now, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4GB

Thanks for any advice.

O wow I didn't even realize that was a single stick. You're going to want 2 sticks to run in Dual Channel regardless of your capacity so yeah, 2x 8GB sticks is ideal.
