Have a security issue with Vivaldi

I need to connect to ipmi on a Supermicro server. Vivaldi will not allow me to connect via http, is automatically changes it to https. It won't save the password and I assume it's because it connects via https. I've searched and can't find any security settings at all.

Security is a total non issue, this is a local connection.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

TIA

I don't think you can. It's a security "feature" to force HTTPS on Vivaldi. There may be extensions though that will get around it.

I get why browsers like Brave and Vivaldi do this for the PR but it's wrong. Chromium/Chrome and Firefox do it right. They try HTTPS and if it's there it goes there no matter what but if there is no HTTPS then you fall back to HTTP. It would drive me nuts if I had to put a Let's Encrypt cert on my Pi-hole and shit on my local network.

Thanks. I just switched from Firefox to Vivaldi and now I'll be looking for another browser. I fear they may all suck. :(
