Im planning on buying the 2250,but am not quite sure on one thing.

on newegg is says
The WinTV-HVR-2250 contains two tuners with a built-in TV splitter. There is one cable TV or TV antenna connector which is split, providing a video source for both tuners.

So my question is, will I be able the have both the cable, and an antenna plugged in. This way on one tuner I can get over the air hd, and all other shows through cable on the other tuner.

Im not sure since it says
which is split, providing a video source for both tuners.

No, the HVR-2250 has only 1 RF-input for either OTA or Cable.

The other RF input is for FM (you know, the radio). Brain damaged design if you ask me.

Oh come on! It is 2011 and you are thinking about adding an A/B switch? Do you not care about recording one show while watching another live show? Or record 2 shows at once? Why do you get a dual tuner card in the first place?

You plug in 2 cards. Or add a USB tuner.

The older HDHomeRun still has 2 separate RF inputs. But it is very different from a PCIe tuner.
