Just wondering if anyone here has tried out the COOL LEAF v2? I've seen one or two reviews on the original version, but that didn't have haptic feedback , the wrist rest, or a touchscreen.

I know it's pricey, but I've been looking for a truly silent keyboard that isn't a piece of rubber. I love mechanical keyboards and their feedback, but working in an environment where silence is vital. I'll still have a regular keyboard around for gaming or real work, but I don't need it for web browsing or studying.

Besides, this is actually cheap compared to other things I'm looking to play around with (i.e. 3d printing, buying a large format touchscreen with multiple inputs, etc.)...

interesting idea. seems like a touch keyboard. wonder how smooth your typing will be over time. looks prettty nice though, sleek design

I think it would be hard to type on and I think it could give you problems if you use it a lot.

Even light typing on an ipad screen bothers my fingers before too long - it's basically just knocking your fingers into a hard surface with no give at all.

Looks very neat, but the lack of any tactile feedback (other than a haptic vibration) makes it very impractical.

Purchased it earlier today. Will post a review when it gets here in a week or two (I'm overseas, so everything takes 5-10 business days usually).

I'm wary of the problems mentioned by DoubleTap, and I'm also wondering how much noise the haptic feedback will make when vibrating against my desk (if any). Purchasing this for silence, so it would suck to have to disable the feedback all the time.

Was gonna wait for a sale, but I guess I'm too [H] like that...

i dont see you building any muscle memory with that thing. it probly vibrates like android phones when you type, so it most likely will feel like a fake keyboard.

just speculation thoe....
