Harley-Davidson’s First Electric Motorcycle on Track for 2019 Release

So this motorcycle is appropriately named, because it has an actual motor.

"They are suited to a generation of people that don’t have the mechanical depth of experience that maybe boomers had with manual transmissions and clutches."

Sigh. Pull clutch lever, move left foot up or down to change gears, smoothly let out clutch lever. Surely it isn't so bad these days that the youngsters do not grasp that concept.

The generation they are targeting is the appliance generation. Nothing can have more than one step and has to be no more complicated than plugging it into the wall. And it's in the bin 1-2 years later to satisfy their autistic obsession with new.

I might be interested in this, but for now I'm happy with my Honda nc700x. Lots of torque, great gas mileage, and the reliability of Honda...just wish people stopped mistaking it for a bmw (based on looks) or a HD (based on sound...which it doesn't really resemble imho).

Edit: heheh, "maybe boomers."
