HardOCP Question on SSD

OCZ Crucial, Intel In that order... With some kind of sandforce controller would be preferred....

Intel, Kingston, Microcenter

Already have Kingston branded Intel drives, plan on purchasing a Microcenter (Adata) drive or 2 in the near future.

I am running a Kingston SSDNow V+ Series SNVP325-S2B/128GB . It has been a great Drive. Defiantly faster than my raptor.

OWC (Sandforce based) Primairly a Mac store house brand, but competitively priced. Using an SSD from these guys now.

OCZ (Some models use Sandforce) Very fairly priced and accurate in their specs.

Corsair, Have always had fantastic luck with this brand of memory and their products. I have no reason not to trust them.

Why I'd never use:

Intel: Seem too eager to price themselves out of the market despite rebrands underselling them.

Crucial: Blacklisted after years of dealing with incompetent RMAs and memory issues,

Patriot: Horrible customer service and have consistently made the most flaky, cheapest, lousiest thumbdrives I've ever used. I avoid them like the plague.

I just bought an Intel because of their support and real-world performance.

Crucial was another consideration (but SATA III is still pretty new and I didn't feel like spending the $ on an add-on card yet). I've got an old Crucial SSD though and their warranty service is awesome!

...last would come down to anyone who has a significantly better warranty than others. If someone were to offer a lifetime warranty, that'd be my #1.

Intel, OCZ, and whoever has a sandforce controller or the best end-user support.
