I'm not really sure what the autonomy level is between this site and HardOCP, but i was just curious if there could be an HardOCP link somewhere on the top of the forums. I frequent Hardocp daily, but sometimes forget and when i was a newbie i didn't even realize both sites interacted (yea i know, silly me.) Maybe even a option in quick links would be cool. Thanks!

There's a link at the bottom of the forums titled: " Sister Site to [H]ard|OCP"

That link points to HardOCP...Yeah, it's a bit misleading but it works...

The majority of members come in through the OCP front page, so for them getting back is a fairly simple set of clicks. The ones who stumble in on thier own through links elsewhere will eventually find the bottom of the page and get curious :p

Well i only look on the home page if i'm looking for something other whise i just click hardforum.com

I only have hardforum.com bookmarked, i use the link at the bottom to get to hardOCP.com, i dont like too many links in my bookmarks, too much clutter. :p

.....but, a link to HardOCP.com in the top navbar could be cool too, and very easy to add.....

In vBulletin AdminCP navigate to....

Styles & Templates / Style Manager / click <<>> to expand templates / doubleclick "Navigation breadcrumb templates" / then doubleclick "Navbar"

It now shows the navbar template code.

In that code FIND:

PHP:
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]do=getdaily" accesskey="2">$vbphrase[todays_posts]</a></td>
				</if>
and ADD AFTER THAT:

PHP:
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="http://www.hardocp.com">HardOCP</a></td>

That would place a HardOCP link in the top navbar in the middle. between "New Posts" and "Search"

while we're on the subject of the footer, is it just me or does anyone else who uses firefox see an error with the privacy statement link which looks like it should be commented out if you look at the source code?
hardforum_footer_error.jpg

it is commented out fine in IE but it always shows up like that for me in firefox

This is what made the forums crash. A suggestion was implemented. Is it just coincidence that the forums went down round the same time? LOL.

Yeah...that was it. Or at least that is what we tell the people that are not educated enough to understand the truth. ;)
