right
so 2 days ago i was fat and happy
i had this 60gb IBM deskstar (feb 2001) in an external enclosure
it was holding all my uncompleted anime series
the i try transfering FMA51 over to the drive transfers fine
go to rename it....
Chunk.....Chunk.....Chunk....Cunk... read..... Chunk..... Chunk..... Chunk.... Cunk... read....
(take note it had never done anything other that work perfect before this)
*explicative* worthless *verb. explative* junk.
so i pull the drive out and move it over to the bench system
bench system hasn't been used for a while

so i grab a 20gb deskstar drive (formated fat32)(march 2001)
that has been very very reliable (no issues at ALL)
put it with the bench system
(tyan mobo, 512mb ecc ram, dual MP 2400's, intigrated video)
(system is not connected to network)
load XP pro
install Ontrak easy recovery profesional 6.0
atach 60gb prob drive to system
let it scan the drive to recover data
(takes 28hours to scan)
scan is sucessfull
will be able to recover everything
backup most precious eps 1-50 of FMA to 20gb drive
shut system down and install an extra Maxtor 60gb HD (blank)
so i can back everything else up
go to boot system
Chunk.....Chunk.....Chunk....Cunk... read.....
blue screen of death......

unplug other HD''s leaveing 20gb drive

turn on
Chunk.....Chunk.....Chunk....Cunk... read.....
blue screen of death......

yes now the 20gb drive is also fuxored......

before this point i have never had a single IBM die....
now i got 2 in 2 days.....
is the world just against me haveing the complete copy of FMA in one place????
