Ive never had a hard drive die on me before, so I am not sure of the way a computer should act when the HD is dead.
My dads computer has all of a sudden stopped working. When you turn it on, you get the bios and mem check and all that, but right before the "Loading Windows XP" screen comes up... it goes to a blackish grayish blank screen and sits there not doing anything.
I have looked in the computer, and other than needing a good cleaning the computer is not makeing any funny noises. The HD is not clicking, or makeing any weird sounds, and neither are the other components.
And the Video card is also seeded nice and tight into the AGP slot, so I dont know what else to check.
Could this be that the Hard Drive has died?
