My westinghouse 22" crapped out on me not to long ago so i'm in the market to buy a new monitor. I do alot of web design, with some graphic work on the side. I also do quite a bit of gaming as well. 22" is nice, but i've been playing with the 27" iMacs at school so I have the big screen envy.:p

Looking to spend < $350. Here is what I'm looking at:

Hanns·G HH-281HPB Black 28"

LG M2762D-PM Glossy Black 27"

Suggestions are also welcome! Thanks

Those resolutions are pretty low compared to the 27" iMac's you've been using. You sure you don't want a smaller, sharper display?

The real trouble with this monitor, if you look at the Amazon reviews, is that it apparently craps out within 1-2 years and the support is reportedly next to non-existent.

The Hanns G has 1920x1200 resolution. The Acer has only 1920x1080 resolution.

correction: both appear to have matte screens. The "glossy" refers to the screen border for the Acer, not the viewing panel itself.

Thread is almost a month old; I wonder if he ever bought anything.

I would pass on the Hanns-G and get the Asus, Acer, or LG instead. A friend had that Hanns-G and I wasn't overly impressed, not to mention the reports of them dying premature deaths. I just think it's a budget brand that offers a good size/price ratio like Westinghouse, but QC may not be the best.
