Called newegg and told them the code expired. They said order it and they would take the $20 back off my order once it went through. Nice but it takes 3 to 5 business days for that to get refunded.

Costco is $299 shipped and newegg with ups ground is $323 and some change so it will be about $303 shipped from egg. Or buy it from costco for $299 shipped.

Newegg doesn't match price or care about another site price list. He said order it from them or don't basically. Just thought i would let you know you can get the $20 off but you have to call, email them the purchase number then thy will refund it in 3 to 5 days.

Why I don't buy Sammys (after owning 3). You want a Sammy? HA! Here's a Chimei for you. Even went so far as to remove the "A,S" whatever labels so we couldn't tell what panel it was.

Great monitor while it lasts.... Bought mine Jan. 08, it starting acting up July 09. Started RMA process in late August when it became unusable (screen flashes or stays blank for up to an hour after turning it on, then mild screen corruption for up to half a day after that).

After a dozen or so emails from "Brian" telling me that it's a problem with my computer or cables, and me telling him repeatedly that the monitor does it on all inputs, and several different sources and cables, he accused me of "changing my story" and basically called me a liar. So it's sitting in the corner of my living not being used anymore.

Hey Kyle, after reading all 3 pages here ... I started to think.

"Does Kyle have any contacts with some of these monitor companies?"

The first company to come out with one of these 28" LCD's that had a super small bezel would win big.

Do they know this? Or do we need to somehow send them this message.

I see a lot of people throwing 24" LCD's together, handful are doing 28"s. Personally, I wish to god I had a 6' banquet style table and 3 x 37"s or even 3 x 32"s.

Currently, I'm on my 2nd Westinghouse 37" ... I know many of us are still rocking these.

Eyeinfinity looks awesome. I was one of the first to buy the 5870. I've also been playing the hell out of NFS - Shift. Incredible game. If only I had 3 huge monitors, how mind altering that would be.

Only thing that bothers me is the 800:1 ratio on this lcd and the only 1 year warranty.

So did anyone get one of these recently? Thoughts? Still considering it.

I got mine Monday. It's BIG, almost too big. No Defects. Came in Big Box too! Only downside is "why did I wait"?

Looks great. Brightness had to be turned down about 50%. Heavier than my 22", but that's a given.

I do not use the Speakers. If they took that out and cut 5 bucks it would be nice.

I plan on keeping the box for 60 days. I would hate to ship this monster for RMA. Biggest Downside! But I did get it for 280 bucks.

nice, played any games on it? Not sure about ghosting/how it handles black etcs... But my current LCD isn't that good so I am assuming it must be better, dunno though! I have an Acer 19" LCD that I got for $300 back when LCD's were first becoming affordable. So like 4 or 5 years ago?

In the 1.5+ year that I've owned mine, ghosting was never noticeable. Games played great, movies looked awesome. Of course, color accuracy isn't great, but it's damn good for a TN panel.

have you tried hooking it up to a console or bluray player? Some people said there is no way to get it to display the correct aspect ratio when used for that purose.

I haven't a console or bluray player, but I did hook it up to my DVR STB and it does stretch the screen. As far as I know, there's no way to prevent it from doing so.

We think it works quite well with 19" monitors on the side! Overall, I love this monitor. Super big, super cheap. No dead pixels, ghosting, input lag. It's a TN panel, so if you need perfect colors, stay away, but for a TN panel, it has great colors and better than average viewing angle. Better blacks and less backlight bleed than my 19" monitor as well.

For $300 plus free shipping, it's a go. Just tell your fiancee first (my only mistake), so you don't have to suffer her wrath.

Better to ask for forgiveness than permission. Married 22 yrs.

Well the Hanns-G and ASUS VW266H are the most recommended "big cheap monitors" in our display forum.

The Asus VW266H is the most recommended "big cheap gaming monitor" and it can be had for as low as $248 with rebate and cashback.

Just a friendly heads up.

If you can sit far enough away (about 3 to 4') from a 37" I'd go for it...

I love my Westinghouse 37"

I'm looking to get two or three of these for an Eyefinity set up -- either have three Hanns-Gs or two Hanns-G around my 30" HP. However, I'd like to have keep them in Portrait mode instead of landscape.

Since the Hanns-G stand doesn't rotate to portrait, anyone have a suggestion for a VESA stand that could? I'd need a stand since I don't want to drill in a wall mount...

Also, interested if anyone has any original ideas on how to put these in portrait mode.

The Hanns-G has a 100x200mm Vesa mount. Something to consider when purchasing a stand.

After reading up on the ASUS Panel, it sounds like a better fit for my needs. Thanks for turning me onto it dude!

No Joke, the monitor in the TV Room is a 42" Westy ...and it's an incredible PC/Console Game experience when sitting a few feet back. Unfortunately, the HDCP issues I had between the LCD and anything has kept me from buying the 37" years ago.

I have this same monitor which I bought from costco for 299. Excellent monitor. Colors are still pretty good unless you are not looking at it straight on (so sit up in your chair!). Response time is good, no issues with ghosting or tearing in FPS games. My previous monitor was a 19" mitsubishi diamondtron CRT.

Wow, the DP on that must be absolutely atrocious. Talk about headache inducing dot pitch.

You couldn't pay me to use that monitor.

0.309mm, but sitting 3-4 feet back from the monitor makes it unnoticeable.

I had a 32 inch 1080p Sharp for a while before my 30" HP and the dot pitch was bearable on that -- think I'll be fine with 28".

Only for girly-men like yourself.

I was worried about the pitch when I bought it, but setting it at the back of my desk as opposed to the middle alleviates the slightly larger pitch.

Picked up two with a couple of deskmounts to surround my 30" HP for an Eyefinity setup.

Crikes, my living room is going to look like the batcave soon :)

I did the right thing and got clearance from my fiance this time.
