Thats something.... uh..... is there gonna be split screen co-op?
ah nice.. pity they won't allow all on one console..... oh well. Not like most would like playing through campaign with a corner screen anyway.
eh, I don't mind sharing a screen. I'm not rich or do I have spare cash to freely spend on live and I don't know many people with 360. So the option would be nice. The thing is.... whats the point of multiple controllers if you play everything online/lanning with another 360 >.>
You do realise that there's not a business on earth that cares about your needs unless that also happens to make them money?Microsoft could care less about our needs....all they want is money..

Not true! Nintendo cares about the people!

Which is why they're charging $250 for about $80 worth of hardware.
The Tru7h About Co-Op in Halo 3
Its time for us to sack up and tell you whats what regarding online co-op.
So you were probably wondering why we didnt want to commit to two player co-op online over Xbox Live. We certainly got plenty of mail asking, no, demanding that we make it happen. Of course we were working on it, but we were also working on something better. Not two player co-op. Not three-player co-op, but up to four player co-op. Online. On Xbox Live, or sure, System Link if you prefer.
That is correct up to four player co-op in Campaign mode on Xbox Live or System Link.
Weve been playing it for quite some time, and bluntly, having some of our greatest ever Halo experiences. We wanted to make sure all our ts were crossed and our is dotted before unveiling this important new part of Halo 3s Campaign mode.
Uh, you can share a screen, you miser. But you're limited to 2-player split-screen.
For most people, four-player online co-op is far more valuable than localized four-player co-op. Kudos to Bungie for putting this together when they were very iffy about it as little as two weeks ago.
Whatever
online co-op sucks in comparison to split-screen battles. I am not talking about split-screen co-op.
I am talking about like battles like you can do in COD. So many games don't have modes like that....its pissing me off.
anyone know if u need a gold account to play coop?
Over Live? Although I can't say I know for sure, I'm 99% sure you'll need a Gold Account to play co-op over Live. Afterall, you'll be connecting to Live and playing with somebody over the network, just like it was a deathmatch, or any other mode. If you don't have a Live Gold Account, and want to do 4 player co-op, you'll have to settle for LAN/System Link. 2 player co-op is still on the same console, with a split screen.
