I am looking for a decent price case to possibly hold a GTX 480 in the future, and I the 690 II was highly recommended. I was wondering if the HAF 912 will offer similar or better airflow/cooling?

What about 922?

I have the 922 and currently have a GTX285OC2 in it. I run a folding client on it 24/7 without ac and it gets into the low 90's in the house in the day and it still has never overheated so that should be good to go lol. More than enough room for anything you would want to do. It's not nearly as loud I thought it would have been either.

The haf912 looks like a centurion with a different outer casing. I would personally go with the 690-II.

I don't know about the HAF but the stock fans on the 690II are a bit crap and don't move much air.

That was my impressions when I was looking too and why I went with the HAF.

Keep checking the coolmaster store for refurb chasis. I got mine for $58.

edit:

Full tower linky. The 932 full tower is on sale for $99 which is a steal imo. They had the Cosmos S for $80 a few weeks ago. I got one for my buddy hehe. Much love for that site.

I friggen love the CM online store. Picked up a Hyper 212+ for $14.99 a few weeks ago.

I've been really happy with my 690 II. It's extremely solid and rigid, and the airflow is awesome if you put in some aftermarket fans. The 2 that the Basic comes with aren't sufficient IMO. It has the potential to move a TON of air though.
