QUESTION by an almost noob (not having built a computer in over 6 years and NEVER having used water cooling) -- using an H105 cooler -- IF I used a Y cable and connected both of the H105 fans to one motherboard fan header, would the UEFI show the same RPM's for both fans and set the same RPM's for keeping the correct temperature of the CPU?

On my Z97 it only registers 1 RPM value sadly the motherboard doesn't allow that level of control (that I know of) in regards to setting it by RPM. I would thinkit would supply enough power to get the fans spinning at what it thinks is the RPM you set it at.

I would think if you want that level of control, a dedicated fan controller with the fans hooked up individually might be a better fit.

using a Y cable report the RPM of only 1 fan.. and both fans will be controlled with the PWM value of the reported fan speed.. so yes its the same RPM for both fans, and yes it will increase/decrease according CPU load and temperature..
