Nice dude! Is that a 6800?
Yeah its the vanilla 6800. Its built like a tank and has a nice heft to it . Seriously the nicest reference AMD card I have put my hands on. I can only imagine how chunky the 6800xt and 6900xt are in person. What I really like its that its fairly compact and is about the same dimensions as the EVGA 2060 super it replaced. Very SFF friendly in a world of 3+ slot and 12+ in cards IMO.

My local MC has the 5900x and 5950x in stock. Looks like they're FOMOing over the gouging though. They even raised the MSRP to make it look like a better deal. :rage:

Me too and I am surprised they are not gouging Nvidia cards like they did during the last mining boom with 10x0 cards. They are gouging hard on AMD cards for some reason tho.

They looked just as over priced as AMD right now for video cards, 6900XT might be slightly more inflated but both are a joke right now compared to supposed list price.

It depends on the AiB. Some are gouging more then others. Like evga. The 3080 ftw 3 ultra is only $50 more then when I brought it at the begining of the year. All the AiB are gouging on AMDs side. I am just saying the MC is not gouging on top of it. They are tho when it comes to previous gen cards.99

But the scalpers arent giving the AMD cards the same treatment. They aent scalped as high as heir direct Nvidia counterparts.

AMD FE? Blasphemy
I assume you mean AMD reference.

On another note with the shuffle, I keep asking myself that if I do win, do I really want to effectively pay >$1000 for a 3080 since the combos would require me to sell a motherboard and probably take a hit on it? I'm selecting less and less with each shuffle. Today, I only picked the 5900x and the Asus Tuf 3080 combo. I figure that I don't need any of it, so why put in for everything and put myself through the hassle of selling stuff off if I win something undesirable.

Yes you do, because that same combo will likely be 2k+ by the end of this year, and we aren't looking at capacity increasing until 2023 the earliest. It sucks, but it's only going to get worse for quite a while still.

Newegg is kicking off the shuffle list early. You can see what's on offer, which is 5900X, 3060 combos, 3070 combos, 3080 combos, 6800xt combos, and 3090 combos.
Today's Shuffle combos actually looking pretty good.

You can sign up for text message alert's for it.
Can you tell me how to do that? I setup an account a couple of weeks ago and added a few cards to my wishlist and "signed up to be notified". But it never specifically said anything about texting my phone.

Same here, I’m still holding out hope on finding a card with a waterblock. It feels like you should have a better chance of scoring one since the miners probably don’t want a card with a block preinstalled.

At that price having a 1TB HDD and 512GB SSD with only 16GB of RAM is very lame. But if you find a 3070 in stock it will be close to $750-800. May as well pay $800 more and get a decent system with it.
Yeah, comments say add some fans and a better CPU cooler. As it sits its not flowing well.

Managed to snag a Series X from the Target drop this morning. I can't remember who left the Tech Drops discord invite link on this thread many pages back, but I thank you.

Of the 3 discords I've got (snail, ATR/nerd something and TD) Tech drops has been the most helpful for me.

I find the HotStock app to be quicker at alerting me to stock on stuff I track.

I follow two stock tracker Twitters, Matt Swider and Jake Randall. HotStock notified after they did about the Target PS5 drop this morning. That said, it can't hurt to follow several trackers, lol.

No PS5 for me, though I did try. lol

It definitely doesn’t hurt to follow more than one tracker. Everything I’ve scored HotStock has always alerted me first. 2 Xbox Series X and 4 PS5 now lol

Ton of stuff in the shuffle. I guess every manufacturer is on the forced bundling train now. I'm sure there's a huge market for the Asrock Z490 Aqua extended ATX motherboard. Good luck getting your money back on that if you win that in a bundle.

Trying for most of it, some things I simply cannot. Like that 3080 with the like $650 motherboard that I couldn't get $200 for, can't take that kind of risk. A couple more months and the shuffle will be nothing but complete builds at this point. Maybe bundling 2x mobos with each card?

These pairing are so retarded sometimes. Why pair a MB that designed with a normal air cooled card but not with the water blocked GPUs?

Because that motherboard is not selling at all and I don't think Asrock has a water cooled graphics card. From the company's perspective, it's genius, clear out the high margin non-selling inventory by handcuffing it to low margin super high demand inventory.

If you guys think that some of the Newegg bundles are bad go check out Microcenter they are advertising a 6900 XT for the amazing price of $2499.99! My local MC had a base line 6900XT last week on the shelf for $1799.99.
