Except kind of the only marketplace with that kind of reach unfortunately and fees are pretty competitive once you have their managed payments (pp was a cancer) and a store sub.

EVGA is changing their queue process. If you've signed up, but not been able to get a card, you go to the front of the line
 
They may as well do it by the relative performance of any new card bought on the account in the prior year, a person with a 3060 needs an upgrade to a 3090 more than one with a 2080 TI FTW3...anyone with a 2080/S technically doesn't need to upgrade to a 3060 ti/70 period. And leaving stepups out of it is a big loophole...
 
The whole system was kind of flawed. Not to say I didn’t take advantage of it. I was able to get a 3060 (launch queue) and step up to a 3090. But for some reason if you were in the 3090 queue before the 3060 launch it may have taken longer to get a card. And you get charged shipping basically three times. To ship the 3060 to you, ship it back, then ship the 3090. When really all I wanted was a 3080 to begin with.

A coworker of mine won the MSI Gaming Trio Z 3080 with bundled MSI Spatium M470 NVME drive last week. He sold his 1080Ti on ebay already and he hadn't looked into the fees. He's gonna have to pay almost $75 to ebay. He's got the VME drive up there, too. If he sells it, he's going to get screwed as he said it was $350 on the shuffle. That drive is $300 on Amazon. He'll be lucky to sell it for $275 shipped and he'll have to pay fees on top of that. I'm glad we have this forum for IT stuff.

Wow! I didn't know the fees were that high now. I haven't sold anything on there in probably a year or two plus at this point.

I'm thinking if I do sell there again, I'll probably have to make sure it makes sense vs local market or see if I get some discounted rate. When I was selling there at a decent amount I would get offers for listing an item or two with no seller fees (like 0 final % rate) - This was rare and before their rates got really high.

I know I was going to open a store at one point but I basically will go on a selling binge and move a decent amount of stuff and then take a long break. The one thing I prefer ebay on is moving rare nes games/old consoles. Like I had a game I had no idea was worth much (it was a GBA version of FF5 that was opened but complete) and it sold for $180. I feel like even in a big market it would be hard to find a buyer for something like that.

Biggest issue with eBay now is not so much the fees but the stupid taxes, it's effectively double taxation on a P2P marketplace. The big sellers on there were already collecting tax, it is an absolute crime that the buyer pays nearly 20-22% more than what the seller gets and ebay's take if often 10% or less if you have a store (of which 3% is the cc fee which everyone charges, so in that light ebay fees are quite reasonable). That's how something gets scalped by default on ebay even to break even, blame the tax man.

I see I forgot to mention that he sold his 1080Ti for $550. $75 is a huge chunk.

Last time I sold stuff on ebay, they took almost 14% for final value fees, just something to keep in mind. I think that is factoring in whether or not the buyer paid with paypal as well, but it's harder to keep track of since Ebay and Paypal separated. Just got to balance whether or not it's worth it to move it faster, or if you are able to sell something for way more to offset the fees cost vs selling local. I used to buy and sell music gear a good amount online and locally, and dealing with people while selling gear locally is a nightmare lol. Could just be because dealing with musicians can be a headache in itself... ><

I recently sold some old game stuff as well, and it did come out to more than I could have made selling locally, so I guess that's cool. It really is becoming increasingly difficult to justify using Ebay for most things personally, though.
 
I just bought a PNY 3080TI from a company called Fateka with a retail store in Virginia (Below MSRP) and got the card in 2 days and was able to register it for warranty with the manufacturer. I see they also have some EVGA and Zotac 3080TI cards in stock as well.
 
My prescalped MSI 3070 and 3060 Ti (both LHR) pickup notices just came ( prices were 829 and 679 plus tax). Likely gonna pass unless someone wants them here (cost plus ship).

I haven't bought from them either but I saw it mentioned many times too - higher than msrp but not as bad as some scalpers. Similar to some of Zotac's stores prices.

$599.99 3060 Ti NON-LHR and $949.99 3080 FTW3 NON-LHR before they went full scalper-mode.

Maybe it varies. GamerKitty said that the PNY 3080 Ti was below MSRP, but a guy I'm on a discord with recently picked up a 3080 Ti EVGA FTW3 Ultra Gaming from them for $1930 thru an Amazon 3rd party affiliate link...
 
Personally, I think that cutting out Paypal is a bad thing. As they were about the only way to get a real problem transaction refunded

Also if you guys haven't already, B&H queue/email alert actually works... they reserve the cards for you and not just email you an alert; you will have a couple days to buy the card before they release it to the next person.

every single card I have set alerts for with B&H ----- has eventually come back with a message saying "discontinued".

You have to go in and do it all over, as most of them actually are discontinued. Those were alerts for the non-LHR cards, which are no longer produced. Have to set up notifies for the lhr cards now.

It's because they know no one is going to buy an EVGA power supply and mouse if they don't bundle it with the card.
 
Mouse maybe, but EVGA PSUs are pretty popular. They were more popular when they used Super Flower, *cough cough*.
Apparently the new G6 series uses the Seasonic Focus platform.
 
I had that mouse in a bundle a while back, the shape wasn't great but the sensor was top-tier.
 
On the B&H email notify/queue, all I got is a discontinued nvidia products emails. Yeah I was very early in the notify queue and since then most of the SKUs are discontinued. Anyway, I got several cards via evga notify system. Nothing to really complain about.

Everyone,

As we continue to monitor the queue to get cards to gamers sooner, we appreciate all the feedback to help us to improve the queue system.

Due to the overwhelming demand for the 30 Series Products, our first step was to close the notify queue until we can fulfill them. Management team then took an extra step to prioritize those that have not received a card versus others who have been able to get multiple GPU’s.

After reading the feedback, there were legitimate concerns about retroactively changing the queue function. We are sorry for any frustration this caused, this was not the company’s intention. Today we are going to make the following updates:

1. The queue system will be rolled back to the previous rule.
  • Anyone who missed a card from Monday, October 4th, will be notified on the next release.
  • EVGA will continue to send notifies through October 8th.
2. In order to get cards to gamers sooner, please go to the notify page at https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp and keep only the top two cards selected that you would like to purchase, and remove the others.
  • On October 11th, 2021, the system will only lookup and send notifies based on your two oldest entries.
  • Going forward, the queue system will only allow for two 30 Series notifies on the current lineup.
  • EVGA strongly suggests to keep the FTW3 ULTRA or XC3 ULTRA models due to consistent supply compared to limited supply on K|NGP|N, HYDRO COPPER and HYBRID due to supply constraints.
  • EVGA is also going to be adding SMS verification to the checkout process for all notifications to catch bot orders.
3. The queue system will not be turned back on until the current queues are fulfilled.
4. The checkout window is 20 hours from the time of notification released.

EVGA appreciates your feedback to continue improving the queue system to deliver 30 Series cards into as many gamers hands as possible.
