I'm assuming if I haven't bought anything from Newegg in the last year or so doing their shuffle is probably pointless.
If you are looking for higher end cards then It's a good source. If you are looking for 3060's unbundled for under $500 then good luck.

I've managed 3-4 from them in the past 3-4 mos. Overpayed, but, not as much as other places and the bundles I selected I can use (PSU's and RAM). Was selected for a few I choose not to purchase.

What is gamepass ultimate?

I'm considering this bundle - but really all I want is the Xbox and a controller. I've been playing fortnite with my kid and split screen sucks. I don't play anything else.

In fact, even as I type that I can see I'm better off just finding a local pick up used xbox. However, I'll need to find an Xbox series x - kid has an Xbox One X - and there is an order to things that must be maintained.

Ultimate basically just combines Gold, console Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and cloud gaming all into one subscription.

Also if looking at Ultimate, you should just consider Xbox All Access. You pay $34.99 a month for 24 months which gives you Ultimate and the Xbox. I believe it is easy to score a console this way also.

Think there was a 3060 for $480 today. First time I recall seeing it under $500. I'm trying to get a 3070 in $750 range, seems to be one almost every day.

I won once in August but passed on buying it (Asus 3060 Ti for like $600). Took like 15 tries.

What if you turn down an offer, do you get penalized for that? I entered for the first time today and won one. But I shouldn't have picked the one I won as an option because it was too much. It was almost $2000 for a 3080 Ti and a M.2 drive.

Newegg has some DDR5 in stock too if anybody was wanting any.
Up to $530 for the 6000 RGB kit, want to say original MSRP was like $360.

Guess I will be sticking with my 5600 RGB kit I won pretty early with a $300 asus prime mobo, total combo was only $670+tax.

Just double checked and the 5600 kit was $370, so the 6000 kit probably started at $430 and jumped $100.

I've turned down a couple. Was selected after. It really depends more on supply and demand.

For you guys who have won the shuffle, do they mostly award you the most expensive, most expensive combo, or what pattern do you notice?

I won on my first try yesterday, but it was a combo I shouldn't have picked. I am looking for a 3080 or 3080 Ti, mainly the 3080 like half the planet.

Well more expensive combo's do seam easier to win. As for 3080/3080ti's, it'll depend on the exact one. Since prices range so much.

I don't think I've actually ever won any gpu's in the shuffle that were not bundles, except asus 3080ti (2k, lol).

I just won(no idea how) the EVGA 12GB 3080 + 850W PSU bundle yesterday and bought it.

I do not select bundles that I am not interested in or are too expensive.
I don't know if you get picked as a winner and then end up NOT purchasing it hinders your chances of winning the shuffle again.

EVGAs are my go to as you can step up to another card if needed and their warranty is the best in my opinion.

I keep entering for 3060s and 3060ti cards that are $600ish or less. I have won a few times when it all started with the Ryzen 5000 CPUs when they launched. I did win the chance at an EVGA 3060 at very near MSRP a while back and missed the window to purchase.. Haven't been selected since but I attribute that to going for single GPUs or the cheaper bundles which have the most competition presumably.

3060ti are all I can get. I managed to get a few non bundled. I actually have 2 new ones sitting on my desk waiting on the rest of the parts for a build. Just ordered one of the mint colored nr200p cases from Amazon.

In two (maybe 3) weeks period I had the chance to buy 3 3060ti's(b&h) and 1 3070 Evga. I passed on all of them. Should have gotten the 3070.

(I ran out of cash overlay, I kept buying ps5's for friends and family, lol)

Then I wouldn't have had my 6900xt on trade for a month or so, lol...

Somehow won the Newegg shuffle for the EVGA 12GB 3080 FTW3 and 850W power supply. $1577 all-in, not bad.

Kind of disappointed for not getting my daily rejection email.
That's horrible. What you mean is that its acceptable in the current market.

I'm in the extremely annoying position of needing (well, wanting) a new graphics card for my living room ITX VR rig. All the cards these days are gigantic preposterously overdone cooling solutions. Honestly I just want a 3070 dual slot under 285mm length and those aren't really even being produced, let alone available, lol.

My hope is to get a 3070 and trade for a founders edition, but at this point I am probably just better off waiting for Ethereum to switch to PoS (been saying that for over a year now though, and it has only gotten worse. . .)

Yea, since they seem to make more of the premium cards then end up 2.5 thick and 330m long.

On top of that, it doesn't seem like 2 slot or less is common for 3070's.

I was hoping to sell that z590 board at a loss! Did I screw up there?

Not really, just expect to loose a good portion of the z590. I don't know which board it is, but hopefully it's not something like a gigabyte xtreme or asus crosshair.

*I did the same thing with z490, but my board was alot less and before the rtx 3080 strix pushed 1100*

Do the Bestbuy drops happen on the hour or half hour? Like if the hour or half hour passes are you safe not to stare for a webpage for a while?

The MB is a:

ASUS ROG Strix Z590-E Gaming WiFi

Looks like something that would turn over fast

You'll lose probably at least 100 on it.

It's 359 normal right?

Ebay is selling them at 240-250

so

probably 200-210

Question for those that have done the EVGA Step up. I was lucky enough to get a 3070ti FTW3. If I register it within the first 14 days, does that limit the ability for someone else to use it for Step Up since it's registered under my name? Or does it matter since the 3 year warranty goes with the card and not the purchaser?

Main reason I am asking is the person I initially got it for is now potentially backing out. So I could offer it up on here for someone to get into the queue for a higher card or even to just use it. I just don't want to register it, if they intend to Step it Up and registering it limits their ability to do so. I have 5 days left to get it figured out.

Thanks!

Step up is only for the original purchaser. How you bought the card will probably matter a bit into that.

Secondhand owners cant use step up at all. Registering yourself doesnt affect secondhand owners at all in any capacity.
You should register it to boost your score, if nothing else.

A premium card probably costs them like $3 more to make than a regular one.

While I doubt it's 3 dollars, it's obvious why they do it (in the essence I do agree with the point, I just can't prove bom).

The higher end cards generally have better vrm's, power limits, pcb, and coolers.

Yeah, was just joking with the $3 but it's probably mostly profit on the premium cards since the GPU is the same, unless they are binning these days?

You know honestly, at least with all the gpu's I had, I don't think so.

I think's

a it's mostly luck of the draw

b additional power you get with the differing cards

Running a 3070 FTW3 and 3070 XC3 U side by side on my rig, the ftw3 is comically large for the exact same card, no one knows the true BOM difference but the HS metal itself would be at least $20 more.
