Its frustrating that they seem to be putting every bloody card they get into these combos...but the combos are selling so I guess that's the issue. These are 5K-6K combos that usually come with99.99% of Newegg's offerings are in garbage combo deals. Newegg sucks just as much as scalpers.
ROG Astral 5090 , the main reason people buy
Either Z890 or X870E mobos. Usually these are pretty decent, like the Crosshair / Maximus Hero
32" 4K 240hz OLED monitors, both the WOLED panel and the QD-OLED panel versions that are otherwise equivalent ( I hear these are the new top of the line OLEDs in their size Asus offers?)
Asus Helios case (seems overpriced, no idea how it stacks up to others though)
Strix Gold rated PSU -( one of the big issues. Its not even like they're offering the latest Thor III which is listed specifically to align with Asus NV 5000 series GPU release , but instead an older version of the lower tier hardware at a considerable price)
Ryujin III CPU Cooler ( supposedly decent, has a LCD, but highly overpriced vs others at the 300-ish price listed)
Mouse, Keyboard, Microphone, Headset (all have significant retail pricess that at least seem overpriced but I don't know if any of these are decent much less worth the prices listed)
If they only bundled the card with one of those items and put a moderate discount there, I could see it as reasonable even beneficial for all involved, both Newegg and the buyer. For instance, if they sold a bundle with just the 5090 + 4K OLED I'm sure people would pick that up. Same with the high end motherboard, or if they had a high end PSU etc. However, jamming it all together in a massive bundle with a lot of filler and high prices is disappointing.. I guess the people who are byuing them are figuring they can resell the rest and its better doing that then paying the same 5K+ to a scalper, which means Newegg has no real incentive to do anything diifferent if its selling, sadly.
