6yrs ago 80GB was $600 MSRP as per http://www.anandtech.com/show/2614 . If we presume transistors costing the same and their number doubling every 18 month as per Moore's law then we arrive to 1000/80*595/(2^4) = $465 MSRP. Is the 16% discount compared to the MSRP price you could've predicted as much as six years ago so very surprising?
