[H] Box / Child's Play Donation Giveaway

Hats off to you HardOCP guys, for having the donation drive. It's great all of us [H] users were able to donate money to a good cause. It always feels good to donate to a worthy cause, plus the chance at a nice PC didn't hurt. I'm continuously glad to be a part of the HardOCP community.

There was a separate donation drive in the Distributed Computing Forum.

Just a little update on the Child's Play stuff we did this year. We raised another $20,000 for the kids so that brings our total up to $25,000 we've raised for Child's Play this year. When we said we would top the $10,000 we raised last year, I had no idea it would happen like this. The check is on its way to the Penny Arcade guys as we speak.



Both Kyle and I thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts for stepping up like you have to help all those sick kids that are stuck in the hospital during the holidays. Thanks to YOU they will have a little joy and happiness to help them through these difficult times. You guys make us proud."

Little off topic Kyle but what ever happened to that rotten apple you and duck made a while ago? I would love a chance to win that thing. Anyway on topic great job to everyone who donated. Hope either you or kyle posts some pics of the finished product. O yea whoever wins needs a custom title saying something insteresting about it. I know if I win I would want one.

yea the weeks is damn near over and nobody that i know knows who won.i havent seen a reference to it anywhere.

Kyle said he was going to have his kid toss a dart at a random list of names to pick the winner.....then someone said Kyle just back in town.......see the huge leep in nonsense I made to make that joke? :(

Winner is picked. Noted on front page at www.hardocp.com.

FYI, I took all the email addresses, dropped them into Excell, each with its own cell in the A column. Used the "=RAND()" formula to assign a random number to each and every donation (If you donated $10, you were in 1 time, if you donated $100, you were in 10 times). Then sorted the email addresses using the random number assigned. Picked the one on top of the list. (Testing with this it worked very well. And I did some Google searches to verify as well. Figured this would be the most fair way to go about it.)

Anyway, a big Gratz to the winner. We're all jealous. Just remember to get that thing folding ASAP!!
