lOl why? So it can be banned in 48 of the 50 states?
That'll go over well! I'll have to move!

Intresting, i wonder how long those have been in there. Chances are this is one of those "left on the drawing board" features since i dont see how they will be able to implement this unless player towns are instances. I dont think there is enough room in the world that every player and guild could have a hosue

if you have an entire guild paying for it though it wouldnt be so bad.

I would love to hear more about this but because this is leaked I dont think we will get any info soon.

it would be pretty cool to have guild meetings and stuff or have a place were you can go to stock up on supplies that you guild makes. Players within the guild could leave items in a community chest type thing for other guildies. Or there could be a kitchen where you wouldnt have to pay for food and you were allowed a certain amount. There is a bunch of other cool things this could be used for im sure. Oh or maybe a library with information the guild has collected such as recipes or those scrolls to teach things for professions or a map of the world on the wall of all the areas players in the guild have explored.

Dude write that in an email and shoot it off to blizzard those are some great ideas.

Player and guild housing was originally going to be in the game when it first launched, but they ended up putting off work on it so they could finish up more dungeons like upper blackrock spire.
Housing areas will be instanced too, if you've been in Stormwind and noticed the huge gate with the blue instance portal behind it, that is going to be one of the housing areas eventually.

lawlz... those are already in the game... the first one is in Stormwind Old town barracks area, and the 2nd building is in hillsbrad foothills and is some rogue dude's area. It's hidden up in the hills north of the castle in hillsbrad...

Doesn't mean much. They use the same designe for tons of houses. For instance, every single castle outside of an instance is the exact same inside. Playing WoW reminds me of the flinstones. The players move, but the background just keeps repeating.

Just a little more info on this... that Guild House was never used how it was ment to be... so they used it in Hillsbrad for the Assassin's Guild House.

EDIT - Forgot the Blue Guild House is USED at GM Island.

Ravenholdt Manor is using the TAN Colored Guild Housing model.

Look at the 1st 2 pics of mine then compare them to his.
Its quite obvious.

BTW: Dragon Isles and Karazahn are looking quite good.

Big deal, blizzard uses the same models and textures for most of the things in the game, that still has nothing to do with the housing system.

So that explains that damned gate, i always wondered what that was for. Any ideas about ironforge?

This is pure speculation on my part, but I could see Blizzard opening Old Ironforge up again and putting the housing down there.

This game needs a HUGE graphical overhaul.

Not saying the game isn't any fun, just it should have scaled better, like Everquest II. If I had to choose one or the other I would choose WoW of course, but lets face it, the graphics leave you wanting.

When I beta tested this game, I really thought it was going to be much better looking on final release. Guess I was wrong.

Are you basing that comment on the 1024x768 screenshots which lack AA, and are being displayed in a model viewer ?

All I'm saying is that its not necessarily guild housing... it is already used in the game...

No, I am basing it running at the highest resolution with forced anti-alaising through the desktop. I have played this game, even though it was in beta-form, it doesn't look any different than what I remember playing. Also, there is a WoW player screen shot thread in here, and even the ones maxed out still look extremely dated graphically.

However, we all know that graphics don't make a game, they just enhance it. Luckily WoW is a great fun game, with a great community, because if they had to rely on graphics as a crutch, it would have failed miserably.

I was not trying to talk bad about the game, just wish it would have had a better scaling graphics setup. I guess there are always future updates that could accomadate that, right?
