GTX970sli or gtx1080

Hey all. Currently I have a single GTX970. It's been doing OK so far, but with some of the newer games it's struggling. So, I was wondering what would be better. Get another GTX970 for SLI or get a new GTX1080? I can get a used GTX970 for about $200, or a new GTX1080 for $540ish. Decisions decisions.....
 
Sell the 970 and get the 1080 would be my recommendation, this is coming from someone who has owned both SLI 970 and single 1080.
 
EDIT: Sorry thought you meant 1080 Ti. I was reading too fast.

Get a 1080 Ti. That's what I plan to upgrade my SLI 970s with.

For the record I own a bunch of 980 Tis, a couple 1080s and sold my 980 Non Ti not too long ago.
