They are both around the same price (in Aus) which would be better at 1080p and 1440p?

Cheers

670 has more grunt, but slightly lower clock.

670: 1344 spu, 112 texture units, 32 rops, 915/980 MHz, 2GB/256@6GHz.
760: 1152 spu, 96 texture units, 32 rops, 980/1033 MHz, 2GB/256@6GHz.

Get the 670 and oc it by 65 MHz.

If they're about the same price, the 670 is a better choice. You can find some good deals on 670's now. I got mine for just slightly more than a 760. It's also factory overclocked so it's basically as fast as a 680.

Two threads with the same question as mine posted after I posted mine.
Was my post TMI?
670 FTW Sig 2 2gb 320€ shipped.
760 SC blower from EVGA 221€ shipped, and change cooler after I get annoyed by the blower.
or I could wait for the FTW ACX and hope it has better, quieter cooling and doesn't cost more than 270€ shipped.

The 670 Sig2 is the cheapest choice of the 670's with good cooler.
Reference clocked 670 vanilla card is 276€ shipped
FTW clocked blower 670 is 305€ shipped.
Argh.
Any of my choices is a huge upgrade, considering I am rocking the HD4000 right now, haven't bothered updating my signature.

the EVGA blower its one of the quietest blower cooler in the market.. also a FTW 670 with Signature 2 cooler will be much better card than the 760 as the 760 in all the reviews are compared vs stock 670 and even stock the 670 perform better than 760 SC.. the FTW 670 its highly oc'd so i keep voting for the 670.. :)

Yeah, I figured that out as well but comparing has been made a little bit tough because of TPU changing the 1920x1200 resolution to 1920x1080.

Considering the 760 SC blower would be 221€ shipped and the 670 320€ shipped. Do I really want to pay 100€ more for it though..
Price/perf wise the 760 hands down but with 670 it'll accelerate away if I get a good OC'er..

Also with the 670, if I end up stepping up to 770 or 780, well hmm then the amount of money I need to pay for the step up would be smaller..

Hmpf.

44.79% price increase for perhaps what 15% more speed at most? Eh.. Dunno..

I say 670 with an overclock. Still a fantastic card, you can find good deals used. I just sold one for $260.

Not going to be buying used cards. And over here used EVGA 670's are a reaaaally rare thing.

a 760 will never be a 670 just from it's hardware limitations... A finely tuned 670 will rock. I love mine. :D

Well I'll order the new gpu sometime during the next weekend. Have no idea though which I'd get..
If the 2762 SC doesn't come back in stock or EVGA doesn't release any info regarding the 2764 FTW model I'll just get the 670 FTW Sig2.

Looks like I'm going with the 670! Just gotta wait for other things first.

yeah at time of writing 760s and 670s are near identical in price in Australia.

Meh, ended up ordering the evga 670 vanilla card from a finnish etailer. Decent price, ish.
Got tired of waiting.. I'll use it, if it's a good overclocker I'll keep it and put it under water at somepoint. If not I'll fire up the step up and get a 770 or if I go wild why not the 780.
