GTX 570 Overheating???

Yesterday, I played both Crysis 2 and NFS: Shift 2 and after a few minutes, each got really choppy. I've had the card about a month and it worked great up until this point. No artifacts or anything, but really strange. Has anyone else had similar problems?
 
Are you using MSI Afterburner Cause i got a MSI 570 GTX and notice they do tend to get hot but running the card at about 72% it stays cool but loud! Could try it and see if it works for you

or make sure it's not dirty. Sometimes that can make it get hott faster by not circulating the air as it should.

Last night, I decided to run 3DMark 11 on Extreme Setting and loop it. It ran for an hour before I stopped it. It never locked up, but it sure did raise the ambient temp in my study. After an hour, it felt like I was running a space heater in there! :D
