GTX 285 1GB with GTX 285 2GB SLI

I don't think so. Even if it works, you'll have only 1gb available for graphics. Also, AFAIK the RAM on 2gb 285s is clocked lower which may produce some issues in SLI (prolly have to downclock the 1gb one. Better sell the 1gb and get another 2gb one.
 
I'm fairly sure you'll have to use CoolBits, and then as TehQuick said, the 2GB card will effectively be a 1GB card for the purposes of SLI.
 
I would just do 2x 1GB...the 2GB cards don't seem to be worth it price/performance wise. Two GTX 285 FTWs 1GB in SLI seems like a nice choice to me.
