So the last mission was to kill Dimitry in the ship and that is it? :(

I thought you killed him in the park after escaping on the chopper. On one of the endings I did that...I played both ways.
But yes, the end is you kill him and either Roman or Kate dies.

It depends on which mission you chose: revenge or the money. If you went with the money, you'll go after Dmitri in the last mission. If you went with revenge, you'll kill him in that mission, and you'll go after the Italian gangster guy you do some jobs for in the last mission instead.

I have to say, GTASA was a better game overall.

The GTAIV story kinda sucks and there is not much to do in such a small game world. Hopefully the next one will be set in a large place like SA was.

I choose the revenge and killed Dimitry right away. But now there is no more mission, no where to go.

Eh, no.
GTA SA was the shittiest point of the series.

I felt the same.

You kill Dimitri, Kate dies. You work with Dimitri, Roman dies.

lame

I gave up on the last mission. Once you climb into the helicopter the camera is facing sideways and its pretty much impossible to fly unable to see where I am going. :|

Eh, no.
GTA SA was the shittiest point of the series.

San Andreas had the most depth for sure, but it was needlessly long. To actually get to the other cities in the plotline you had to put in a TON of hours.
People have complained that GTA4 had too many similar missions, but San Andreas had about 2X the missions that 4 did with even more similarities.
GTA4's plot started off well, but got lost once you started working for the mob. San Andreas' was better, but was just too long. For the "simple" plot of killing Tenpenny, you had to do WAY too much.
What GTA4 did well was capture the feel of a huge metropolis from the perspective of an outsider. San Andreas did a good job of capturing the early to mid 90's, but seen through a Dr. Dre video.

I am just gonna go back and play vice city now and forget about SA and 4.

Story in GTA IV was great IMO. Its what the series is supposed to be really. The mob parts could have been better, but still good. I like what a guy on FP said about SA:
Question: Why can't GTA go back to being Gangsta?
Answer: Because GTA never was gangsta. Only San Andreas was, which in my opinion doesn't deserve to be called a GTA and it just completely ruined the entire GTA series by bringing it stupid "gangsta" kids that listen to rap and wear their pants pulled down and call each other "homie" and are fucking retarded.
Basically sums up my thoughts.

I got to the end and then I found out I only completed 67% of the storyline. I'm starting over, time to experience GTAIV on my new T260 and also how did I miss so much stuff?
Does a third of the game just deal with those people you find on the street, races, jobs etc.

Yes.
I got 100%, and don't even attempt it dude. You'll rip out your hair trying to find the pigeons and such.

I thought the game was awesome. However i've lent it out to my friends a few times and noone else seemed to get hooked. I plan on replaying it again, as I've pretty much forgotten the entire game now I can enjoy it all over again! :D

Yeah. If you handle all of the character plots and don't bother with the pigeons, jumps, races, etc. you end up around 80%. There are a buttload of races and such that don't affect anything at all plotwise, so only bother with them if you really, really like playing the game.

Thank Christ there is someone else out there who hated that fucking helicopter as much as I do. It took me about 15 tries to get that part of the mission down. Why can't they just make helicopter piloting in video games as least semi-not retarded?

I must've died on that part 20 tries myself. The worst part about that section is that it takes about 15 minutes to get to that point each time, AND the motorcycle chase is very unforgiving, too. I even made it to the island once and got killed by a guy with an RPG standing on the dock.
I eventually went on here and found a trick to clearing it. Go as high as you possibly can and the missiles can't hit you. Just haul ass for the island. When you get over the island, the custscene will start up even without you being hit by a missle. Once on the island, turn around and clear the docks of RPG weilding guys!

I choose to take out Dimitri on the Platypus rather than take the money. This meant Kate died at Roman's wedding rather than Roman

The last mission to hunt down Pegorino drove me up the wall, a long drive to pick up Roman and Little Jacob, a long car chase to the old casino, a long gun battle to get to the bike, then a chase along the shoreline to the ramp onto the helicopter. What a waste of 15 minutes of my life each time. I kept mucking it up by pressing the wrong buttons to get on the helicopter as my gamepad buttons are all over the shop as I used an emulator to get my Rumblepad working.

Out of disgust of having to go through it 10 times I uninstalled the bastard and watched the ending on Youtube instead. Left a sour taste in my mouth as I don't like giving up! However good to see I wasn't the only one who gave up!

Overall I have to agree with a few here San Andreas and Vice City were leagues ahead of this installment.

I have the feeling this will be the last GTA on the PC, if so it's a sad way to go out.

No kidding! Then, after 37 frustrating tries doing the whole mission trying to figure out why the camera is upside down for the heli, you fly it for 30 seconds and need 3 hands to try to shoot the boat only to find the game blows up the chopper and the boat automatically.

I'm glad that I picked up Saint's Row 2 after GTA4. GTA4 was emotional and a good story, but it wasn't always a fun game. SR2 made it fun to be a crime boss again, and you actually moved up the ladder to to speak. If you're a little disappointed after GTA4, but want more car stealing and rocket launcher use, then pick up SR2. And steal a heavy swat vehicle with a mini gun. Only to pimp it out with purple spinner rims and hydraulics.

I am glad to see that I wasn't the only one that absolutely loathed the very last missions with GTA IV. They weren't difficult but just really long and annoying.

After killing Dimitry i am stuck...How do i go to the wedding?

I got a call from Roman about the wedding. The wedding is the next day at 10am. Not sure why you aren't getting it? I also got a call from Kate to pick her up to take her to the wedding (You'll need a smart suit for the occasion)

Looking at the stats are all of the mission completed stats at 100%, if not you may have missed a mission. Unlikely though if you have got this far

Yes, long and annoying. A mid point temporary save on some of these missions would have been useful to avoid my pet hate - repetition. I don't find it fun or challenging to replay the same thing over and over ad nauseum because of a slight mistake.
