I was looking through the local CL (Seattle) and saw an e-cycler had a few items for sale, one of which being a pair of Dell U3014T's, at $199 without a stand. Surely, I thought, it was a typo. Called them, verified, drove from Tacoma to Seattle today to have a look.
Examined two of them, noticed that one had a slight mar or scratch on the screen, grabbed the other. Ran it through the inputs, single color backgrounds looking for stuck pixels, and no issues at all so I figured I'd take it home. I pulled up the ad again and noticed that they were down to $150. BOOM! High-tailed it home and plugged it all in, grabbed the stand from an old 2209WA I had kicking around and I'm in business - I love this thing!
For the work I do (development) and the space I've got on the desk, this is just about perfect..... I feel sad that I'm getting to the "big monitor" party a couple years late
