Holly S***!! I see that YT is almost at 100 mil, the rest of them are a bit more easier to pick up on those doom-scrolling platforms.

87M views on the new trailer so far (2 days). No doubt it will hit 100M+ by the weekend. Like it or not, this series is a juggernaut.

Hopefully this one's better than GTA V and not just in terms of production values (which I'm sure it will be given the budget). Ideally it will exemplify that Rockstar attitude that we've come to expect while delivering an engaging story and prioritizing fun gameplay. I thought GTA IV's story and emotional impact was superior to V's, but I've only managed to get about halfway through V to be fair...still, one kept me going until the end and the other hasn't so far. But all of Rockstar's newer titles feel like they play slower and heavier than III/VC/SA in an effort to deliver more realism, and I hope VI finds a good balance there.

I dunno, GTA5 set the bar really high. The three-protagonist perspective brought a new level to the series, and they each were so different and well voice acted. I don't have many criticism to GTA5, it was a near perfect game. Maybe they could have made the world a bit more dense? We never got story DLC with GTA5. I spent tons of time in GTA5 just driving all over the place even after I beat the main story. It felt like the world had more story to tell.

I did go back to GTA4 recently, but realized my fond memories were purely through rose-tinted glasses. It has not aged well. It's inferior in almost every way to GTA5. It's still a good game, but...

Rocktar's track record has always been to outdo themselves each iteration. I'm wondering if GTA5 is where they start to plateau? It's difficult for me to imagine how GTA6 will outdo GTA5 because it was THAT good.

I remember after beating GTA5, I got really sad. Because the roller coaster adventure had come to a close and I wanted MORE. Very few games have ever given me that feeling.

Adding all the extra stuff they did in GTA:SA/RDR2 has been a great start.

The one thing im going to miss in the GTA series that ive loved since GTA3 is Lazlow on the radio.

GTA VI will make $1 Billion dollars 1st day.
According to Guinness World Records GTA 5 sold 11.2 million copies and made 815.7 million dollars in the first day. A Billion should be easy if the 99.99 rumored price tag turns out to be true.

Wait, what?

I might have missed the $99 price. That's insane. No way I'm paying a hundred bucks (with tax)! Like most users I have a backlog of 100 PC games I'll play and wait 5 years for the price to come down to something more reasonable like $13 on Green Man Gaming OR CD keys.

I think I'm the only one on this board who games on pc and have never played any of the GTA games.

I would gladly trade in all of my backlog games for one copy of GTA6. It’s a backlog for a reason, games I only bought because they were cheap but not good enough for me to set aside time to play them. Those games aren’t in the same thought process as GTA.

I had tons of time in 3 and Vice City, some in San Andreas, 4 ran like shit for me and for whatever reason and didn’t grab me, played 5 for maybe 40 hours and was ultimately turned off by a long ass drive I wasn’t into and started playing other stuff. GTA online doesn’t interest me in the slightest. I honestly don’t get the mountain of hype, but if the campaign is good I’ll probably give it a run once it comes to PC, but not for $100.

It's funny how that figure has been normalised in my head for some reason, they really did a number on us in the last few years.

Compared to what gamers have been spending just on gpu's while waiting for GTA 6, $100 isn't that bad.
I wonder what percentage of gamers have always enjoyed GTA games, and I bet $100 would not change that.

Vice City is the last GTA game I finished, and that was on the PS2 version. I played a good bit of IV, but never finished it. I've gotten through maybe an hour of V. GTA is just boring to me these days. It doesn't have a hook to keep me playing.

I've only played GTA V, and that was only for a few hours after I got it free with a CPU.
I just couldn't seem to get into it. Felt like I was playing one of the old Driver games.
I'll give it another shot one day.

I've played them including the first top down games GTA1&2.
They've always been fun to just fool around a bit as a sandbox experience, but I've never been very compelled by the story or anything.
I've always thought the third person and first person shooting part of the game is absolute trash and never really though the driving was great either. But despite that I always appreciated the scale of everything in the game and see why other people enjoy them. I'm really picky about controls compared to most people.

I'm looking forward to what they've done with GTA6 because it's really a spare no expense budget all focused into one game and it looks really good so far. I probably still won't like the way it controls or get that into it but just from a technical standpoint it will be really cool to see and I understand the hype.

I just finished GTA 5, I think it's one of the best pieces of modern day satire ever made. It nails american stereotypes so well and it's so funny and cutting at the same time. Trevor is one of the all time great video game characters, and honestly I think it might be the best story in a game I've ever played. The only thing that's really up for debate that I've played recently is the Witcher 3 or final fantasy 6. Everything in GTA 5 is thought about how they kind of lampoon the modern era from the characters all the way to the radio stations, even the side characters have very funny archetypes that are well presented. The mission design is top notch, having to switch between 3 characters and it being so well managed is fantastic, there's really nothing else like it even today.

I agree the controls are very clunky, the game is definitely dated from a movement and usability perspective. I still loved it, but I'm also someone that's enjoying Oblivion's old ass game play. To each their own, I like old games for whatever reason.
