Grand Theft Auto V

Is anyone still playing this game? I haven't touched it in a few months once I played through the Heists and mainly cause the cheaters made GTA Online really lame. Have they fixed the cheater problem or is the game state pretty much the same?
 
I guess by the time I buy it when it's not nosebleed priced, the online community will be dead.

I played it online a bit recently. I don't think I've run into any of those blatant hackers, but I've come across a few people with fighters jets, including low level players. I know you used to be able to steal one from the military base if you got lucky, but I thought they patched that out a long while back to make it impossible.
 
I still play, but I only do contact missions, private game, everytime.
Hackers are all in freemode, which just had some mission update, so apparently rockstar wants you to play with the hackers.
 
Nothing has changed online, its still the same old bullshit, even the leaderboards for all the events, races, etc. are still hacked with world record of one second yay those skillz.....

It's kind of hard to play the same game twice.

360 in 2013 version was great. Then again, so is this. It's just once the novelty of the eye candy wears off, you realize there are so many other games worthy of your attention.

They still haven't fixed the fucking ghosting problem when you damage your card for users on a 680 SLi setup. I'm not the only one with this problem.

I just had this exact issue with moving a backup copy to a Windows 8 laptop last night. Launch the launcher and it would crash after downloading 40mb/50mb launcher patch. I fixed it by downloading the game installer and starting install, let it download small updates, sign in and let it start to dl the game then stop it, close the launcher and drop your backup in.

Did that and game launches perfectly.
 
havent played this game in a few weeks i come back the old problems are still there

- people quiting in middle of a heist or killing u zero team play still..
- failed to join a heist sometimes disconnects and boots u to solo mode and only way back is to start private game and come back to empty world wopifuckingdo....
- takes forever earn money when u sit and play 30min and zero progress because of all fucking clowns online despite they have high lvl..
 
I can't control anything in this game. I really want to play it, but maybe I just don't have the reflexes for it.

Game plays like a dream with a 360 controller. Flying/ driving/walking around. I had never played a PC game with a controller before this game all keyboard and mouse.
 
Using both completely takes you out of the experience.

I tried it.

I use KB/M all the time but I'm sure using the 360 controller always is also great.

This. The implementation is amazing in GTA V as well with both working at the same time.
 
I play from my sofa with kb/m, have done for years.
Just get plenty of large feather cushions and its gaming bliss.
Been doing it for around 10 years now.

I can sit up, sit back, sit to side, lie on my side (as I am typing this) while still being supported and very comfortable.
Really cool.

I would be happy with just a few more 6 person missions like 'The Los Santos Connection'. That mission and 'Steal the Titan' is all I look for when I'm doing contact missions. Heists just plain suck when you can never finish one cause of quitters, so I dont play those anymore either. And of course freemode with all the hackers... It's sucks when you can't have fun with half the game modes because they are fundamentally broken....

Seems to me they should have an AI crewmate take over or something at that point. I haven't tried a heist yet, but does it completely end the whole heist progress?

You realllllllllllllllllllly realllllllllllllly need to play heists with friends. I can't even begin to tell you how much more enjoyable the heists are when you have 3 other competent people WITH MICROPHONES. Trying to do a public heist is an absolute waste of time, unless you are searching for people to befriend and play with. Once I found a decent person with a mic I added him to my list and he had a few good people to play with. Having all 4 people with microphones and using teamwork make those heists so fun. We played through pretty much all of them trying to get criminal mastermind. $10,000,000 if you play through them all in order with the same people without dying once. Hard as fuck, havent done it yet.
 
What's everyones thoughts on adding DLC locations to the game?
Two years of playing this game and I know GTA V streets better than my own towns.

That would be nice. I'd love to have more single player content.
