Nvidia to officially announce price cuts on high end (high profit) cards
Is it finally time to buy a new GPU? (I've got a Radeon RX580 so obviously I have been putting off an upgrade for a while...)

It's an OK time, but it sounds like vendors are expecting an August-September bloodbath.

Are those type of sales "reals":
https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...offerlist.normal_offer.d_title.5e3d7350YqXDaY

You can buy a box filled with 5700 to 6900xt for $88 USD each on a 100 units minimum order ? Even on the 5700 only worst case scenario, do sound ridicously low (lower than a 1030) or maybe I am not reading it write (or sound stupid by how obvious of known fraud that is).
none of them are actually that price

Nvidia’s $1.4 billion GPU shortfall is great news for PC gamers

Will lower demand equal lower GPU prices?

it appears that premium graphics cards are receiving the most discounts — as PCWorld’s executive editor Brad Chacos noted, EVGA slashed the price of its GeForce RTX 3090 Ti by a whopping one thousand dollars over the weekend, down to (a still astronomical) $1,149.
But most of Nvidia’s midrange GeForce cards aren’t seeing those types of discounts, unlike rival Radeon GPUs.

If i see 6700xt drop to $225 im probably going to buy six of them for a high efficiency, speculative mining whatever coin i think might replace ethereum. Should make a nice space heater for my drafty basement.

If I wasn't water cooled I'd probably swap up to a 12g 3080 or even go to a 3090 now. Prices are pretty low right now with the sales.

3080ti for less than $900 available. I want one but I think I will wait until the RTX 4000 series gpus come out and see if they get even lower.

I wonder, how low they will get?

As per MLID analysis, late August is best time to buy 308x cards. Once the 40xx cards are released, old Ampere stocks may not exist

NVIDIA RTX 3080/3080 Ti Prices Set to Drop Even Lower, AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT Delayed to 2023

According to Tom from MLID, the channel inventory for the RTX 3090 has started to run dry and the RTX 3090 Ti should soon follow. This means that the present discounts are (close to or) probably the best you’ll ever see. The coming weeks should see the focus shift to the RTX 3080 and the 3080 Ti with late August likely to be the prime time for buying either of these cards.

VV9JXMEF1UL8K5L for another 3% off. Pretty decent deals for 1080p gaming on the 2060's IMHO.

GPU prices have been like a roller coaster. Voodoo will likely always command higher prices because of the 3dfx nostagilia factor.

Bought my RX 480 from Kyle at $90 when he was unloading closet stock from reviews. Less than year later same card was selling for three times as much on Ebay. Last January a friend gave me his old GTX 980 and I was shocked they were selling for near $300 on fee bay. Now they're back down to the $80 range. Will prices go ape shit again? Much depends on crypto spiking again.

These sales just lead me to believe the 40 series will be released in Sept. Reeks of inventory clearance.
right - because etherium fools keep mining until the last minute, you still cant find the 3060 ti for anywhere near msrp

the 3060 has similar issues saying at msrp (and by-relation,the 3050)

once stake goes live, these cards will quickly flood ebay (the expensive cards were only valuable when they couldn't buy mid range efficiency cards)

The 3060 ti has been available quite a lot at best buy the last few weeks, for hours and hours per drop. EVGA just seems to not include them in the sales, or nvidia isn't giving them more of those chips. They probably have way too many of the left over 2k series round 2 nvidia churned out. Miners stopped buying cards around January of this year, at least any with a lick of sense.

horse shit

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...shback-suggests-ethereum-offshoots-are-coming

they'll keep adding cards until they stop making a buck (remember they are all perpetual gamblers who love to "let-it-ride until markets crash - these are the fools still rushing Ampere low-end cards)

i mean, how do you explain these 3070 cards for lower price than many 3060 ti 0s,when one requires a way more perfect die?

You didn't comprehend what I said, if your kneejerk reaction is horse shit. It is a fact, that 3060 tis have been very available in the last few weeks.

That bloomberg article does not address anything related to purchasing of cards, just speculation.

Most cards now have multi year break evens assuming you pay for electricity, many are already very near the point of losing a buck.

Amazon isn't exactly a great metric, but even using amazon's own website proves you are simply wrong. The 3070s are $555 plus, 3060 tis are in the $445 plus range. Finding a few outliers of 3060 tis being more expensive than a cheap 3070 means nothing, there are always wild outliers. But hey let's look at an example, the asus tuf gaming 3060 ti is $549, but the asus tuf 3070 is $633. Try to compare apples to apples and you will see the 3060 tis aren't somehow overpriced because of miners buying them.

The fact that you have lots of options in stock, constantly, tells you that the mining buying surge has long since passed. Best buy is the better metric for this, as they had the lowest priced FE cards which were entirely unobtainable throughout all of 2021.

There will probably be a flood of used cards for sure once it switches over to pos, but for now it's no longer the evil miners that are keeping stocks empty and prices jacked.

Prolly was a scam, though. 0 feedback.
Box of sand incoming! :D

But yeah I've been seeing 3060tis being sold for essentially MSRP new in box on craigslist (I say essentially because when sales tax is factored in). Still would be worried about getting scammed though, just feels off if someone is selling it for that price.
