Greetings,

We have a user that has a docking station with a second monitor. He also has a 42" TV mounted in his office. He would like to be able to duplicate EITHER display (yes, must be able to choose which one he wants to duplicate) to the TV, and also be able to duplicate/extend to a projector that will be later mounted in his office.

ideas?

He probably won't be doing what he wants to do with a notebook on a dock unless he wants to pony up for a relatively complex(read: expensive) setup using a control box of some kind.

Ask DeChache He used to do this kind of stuff for a university and still helps me out.

Just a brainstorm.

Set windows to duplicate the display of the laptop.

and assuming the second display is hdmi:

if not hdmi, any other display splitter will do.

than both displays go to the tv, all he has to do is change the input on the tv.

the only variable is how windows will handle the usb video on a docking station being hot plugged in and out. It may not want to be user, or idiot, friendly.
