I got a new motherboard, and it works fine, only windows wont boot. Idk if it's because I have the oem version of window or if its a driver problem or what. Help would be appreciated
1. When you install Windows, does it complete the entire install process?
2. Are you getting the Windows is starting boot screen? Black screen? Blue Screen?
3. Some mainboards(not many) require that the boot drive be on a specific SATA port to boot. Check your mainboard documentation.
4. Check temps? Power cables? Power supply good?
5. SSD is known to be working?
Yes, it completed the install process. And it does the part where the windows logo fades in, then it blue screens. The ssd is working fine. The mobo is the biostar hi fi z77x
Oh sorry I forgot to mention I'm upgrading the motherboard from an asrock extreme4. And yes, i have windows oem. Would i have to buy another license, or could i reinstall windows?
